The short answer
ClearCoat Painting paints homes, condos and commercial buildings in Juno Beach, FL, about 5 miles southeast of Jupiter. We focus on salt-air prep, UV-resistant and mildew-resistant coatings, and careful coordination with associations and residents.
Juno Beach is a coastal town about 5 miles southeast of ClearCoat Painting's base in Jupiter, close enough that our crews can be on site early and make full use of the cooler morning hours. Painting near the ocean is its own discipline. Wind carries salt and sand onto walls, the sun reflects off water and pale surfaces, and summer humidity rarely lets up. Juno Beach also has a large share of multi-unit buildings alongside single-family homes, which means we spend a lot of time coordinating with owners, boards and property managers. This page covers how we handle both.
Oceanfront Conditions, Honest Expectations
No coating stops the coast from aging a building. What good prep and the right products do is slow that process and make the next repaint easier. On a Juno Beach exterior, our biggest enemies are salt residue, which weakens adhesion; UV, which breaks down binders and fades color; and moisture, which feeds mildew and pushes into stucco cracks.
We tackle them in order. Walls are washed with fresh water to clear salt and grime, mildew is treated, and the surface is given time to dry. Cracks are opened and filled with flexible material. Bare or chalky stucco is sealed with a masonry primer. Then we apply finish coats picked for exterior durability, often a premium acrylic or, on walls that keep cracking, an elastomeric system that can stretch with the structure.
Working With Condo Associations and HOAs
In multi-unit buildings and planned communities, painting usually involves more than the person who calls us. Color schemes are often set by the association, approvals may be needed for anything visible from outside, and residents need notice before work starts near their balconies, doors and parking.
We keep those projects organized by agreeing on a clear scope with the board or manager, providing product information for review, and sequencing the work by building section so residents know when their area will be affected. For individual owners who want to repaint a unit interior, we handle protection of shared hallways and elevators and follow any building rules about work hours and noise.
- Written scope that matches the approved colors and products
- Work sequenced by elevation or building section
- Advance notice for residents about balconies, doors and parking
- Protection of common areas during interior unit work
- Clean-up at the end of each work day
Balconies, Railings and Metal Details
Coastal metal rusts, and rust spreads under paint. On balcony railings, light fixtures and gates, we remove loose corrosion, apply a rust-inhibiting primer and finish with an exterior enamel. Concrete balcony surfaces and walkways can be pressure washed to remove algae and salt buildup before any coating work. Where we find structural concerns such as spalling concrete or exposed reinforcing steel, we point them out so the owner or association can bring in the right specialist before painting.
Interior Painting Near the Beach
Inside, sand and moisture find their way into entryways and bathrooms, and seasonal homes that sit closed for part of the year can develop musty walls or ceiling stains. We clean and treat affected areas, patch drywall, prime stains so they stay hidden, and repaint walls, ceilings, trim and doors. Cabinet refinishing and popcorn ceiling removal are popular in older units where owners want a brighter, more modern feel without a full renovation.
Color is worth a second thought inside, too. Rooms that face the ocean get bright, reflected light for much of the day, so a white that looks soft in the store can feel stark on the wall. We brush large sample swatches in the actual room and suggest checking them at midday and again in the evening. For bathrooms and laundry areas, a finish with mildew resistance and a little sheen holds up better to humid air and regular wiping.
When to Book and Who Else We Serve
The drier, less humid months from November into April are prime exterior season along the coast. Summer exteriors are still possible with early starts and a close eye on afternoon storms, and interior work can happen any month. Because the Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, associations often plan exterior work so repairs and sealing are complete before the most active part of the season.
Our crews also serve nearby Jupiter Inlet Colony, Lake Park, Riviera Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Palm Beach Shores.
